Located just north of Daylesford, Mt Franklin Timber provides end-to-end services for milling and surfacing of timber slabs, portable milling, and slab interior and furniture design and construction

• Onsite milling
  We can mill your timber rounds at your property or site, with our our Lucas Mill we can slab up to 1.9 meters width x 6.0 meters in length.
  Hourly or daily rates available.
• Lucas Mill
  We have a Lucas Mill with dedicated slabber attachment allowing us to work both on site at our property or yours.  Our rates include slabbing and racking correctly for drying.
• Pre-slabbed timber
  We have a growing supply of slabbed timber available onsite which is drying ready for use on your project – sizing ranges from 0.5m –  6 meters long,400 to 1800mm  wide and 50mm, 60mm and 80mm thickness.
• Species
  Blackwood, Elm, Redwood, Oak, Yellow box, Grey box, Ironbark, Cedar, Cypress pine, Norfolk island pine, Ponderosa pine.
• Slab Levelling
  Once you have your choice peace of timber slabbed we can provide you with finishing services for slabs sizes of 2 meters by 6 meters capacity using our Slabmaster.  This gives you a perfectly level surface to work with and pre-sanded ready for your preferred treatments.
• Carpentry & Slab Furniture Building
  We can also assist you by installing or creating a lifetime piece of furniture.  Some of the services we offer including; Kitchen benchtops; bathroom surfaces/benches; slab furniture ie slab / raw edge dining tables; coffee tables; office desks and bedroom suits.
